St. Eustatius - On Tuesday, the 9th of May, a traffic control aimed at checking the correct and valid documents (driver's license, insurance certificate, road tax) of vehicles and drivers was held on the Oranjebaaiweg on Sint Eustatius. During the traffic control, 25 vehicles were checked, of which two drivers received a police report; 1 for driving without a valid driver's license and 1 for driving without insurance.

KPCN would like to point out to everyone to have the necessary documents as mentioned above in order. Adherence to the rules of the traffic ordinance is also strongly advised. This also contributes to safe traffic on the island. Regular checks will be held in the coming period, whereby strict action will be taken if you do not have the above in order or if you do not comply with the traffic rules.

Are you not following the rules? Then you can get a fine. The amount of a fine for the above violations ranges from $30 to $225.
