Emergency number: 911 Tipline Police: 9310

My house has been burglarized. What should I do?

If you think that the perpetrators are still nearby, dial the emergency number 911. You can call a non-emergency contact number to report the burglary. If the things have been turned upside down, do not clean up yet. Wait until you have talked to the police and they have secured any evidence. If your bank cards and telephones have been stolen, you should block them all straight away.

It is also important to report the burglary. Without your report, the police can not proceed with the investigation and the report is also needed for insurance claims and reimbursement of damages.
