Police report of Monday, January 6th until Monday, January 13th 2025
Oranjestad/The Bottom - Driving under the influence arrest - On Friday, the 10th of January, around 6 PM a 35-year-old woman with initials A.C.G. arrested on the Upper Road on Saba for driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect crashed a service vehicle into a parked pickup on the said street. In accordance with the 'botsen is blazen’ policy, a breath test was administered to the driver. The officers explained to the suspect several times how to blow on the device, but she always failed to do so correctly. She was arrested and taken to the police station for a breath test. As a result of this, the suspect's driver's license was confiscated.

The Bottom - Collision Saba - On Sunday, the 5th of January, a collision between a car and a motorcycle occurred on Gray Bush Street on Saba.

Police report of Monday, the 30th of December 2024 until Thursday the 2nd of January 2025
The Bottom - Officers rescue woman on Sandy Cruz Trail - On Wednesday, the 1st of January, central control room received a report about a woman who had gone hiking on the Sandy Cruz Hiking Trail on Saba. The woman had gone hiking with a group but became exhausted and could not continue. The police immediately took action and went onto the trail, looking for the woman to provide assistance. A short time later, they came across the woman with two other people.

Oranjestad - Motorcycle theft - On Saturday, the 28th of December, a report was made of the theft of a neon green and black motorcycle of the brand Yamaha, model MTO 7, with license plate M-268.

Multidisciplinary inspections on Saba and St. Eustatius
Oranjestad / The Bottom - In recent weeks, several multidisciplinary inspections were held in the ports of Saba and St. Eustatius. All arriving passengers, the luggage and the crew of the Makana Ferry were checked. The ferry was also checked.

Police report of Monday June 3rd until Monday June 10th 2024
Oranjestad - Lifeless body found - On Saturday, the 8th of June, around 8:30 AM, the central control room received a report of an unresponsive person at a business on Korthals road in St. Eustatius. When the patrol arrived, ambulance personnel performed CPR on the victim. A little later, the ambulance personnel stopped CPR. The coroner noted the death of a 46-year-old woman with initials N.A.B. born on the 23rd of February, 1978 in Jamaica. The lifeless body was seized for further investigation. The preliminary examination revealed that there were no indications of a crime.
