Saba/St. Eustatius - Vehicle on fire after collision - A collision between two vehicles took place on the Thai Hill Road on Saba at about 7:20 pm on Monday, the 26th of September. As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles caught fire. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire. No one was injured.

Oranjestad - UTV ends up in ditch On Sunday, the 11th of September, the police on St. Eustatius received a report of a collision at the intersection with Theodore Pandt Road, Concordia Road and Weg naar Roots. The driver of a UTV lost control at the intersection and ended up in the roadside ditch. He was first checked on the spot by the ambulance staff but was then taken by ambulance to the hospital for further medical treatment.
Start of Identity (ID) Fraud campaign
Kralendijk - In order to prevent identity fraud in the Dutch Caribbean, the Caribbean Netherlands Police Force (KPCN) has started a cooperation with the Central Reporting Centre for Identity Fraud (CMI) of the National Office for Identity Data (Rijksdienst voor Identiteitsgegevens, RvIG). Together they have set up an information campaign whereby through various channels more information is provided on what ID fraud is, how it can happen to you and what you can do to prevent this form of (cyber) crime. The time has come, the information campaign was launched this week.

Kralendijk - The investigation department of the Dutch Caribbean Police Force deals with cybercriminals who digitally attack both individuals and companies and cause damage to their computer system. Various companies and organizations in the Caribbean Netherlands have become victims of cyber attacks by ransomware in a short time. Hackers then demand money from victims to unlock the system and remove the virus.

Kralendijk - On the 12th of January, 2023, the current chief of police the Dutch Caribbean Police Force , Mr. Rosales, will resign after having held the position of chief of police for 6 years.

St. Eustatius - On Tuesday, the 9th of May, a traffic control aimed at checking the correct and valid documents (driver's license, insurance certificate, road tax) of vehicles and drivers was held on the Oranjebaaiweg on Sint Eustatius. During the traffic control, 25 vehicles were checked, of which two drivers received a police report; 1 for driving without a valid driver's license and 1 for driving without insurance.

Saba & Sint Eustatius - Scheduled Traffic Controls On Friday 11 February 2022 between 09:35 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., a planned traffic control was held on Father van Tevelemweg. During this check, more than twenty (20) vehicles were checked and a total of four (4) fines were issued for, among other things, not being able to show a driver's license, insurance, and motor vehicle tax.
