Police report of Wednesday, the 20th of December until Friday, the 22nd of December 2023
Oranjestad - One-sided collision with scooter - On Thursday, the 21st of December around 6:05 PM, the central control room received a report of a one-sided collision involving a scooter on the George F. Cruger Road on St. Eustatius. When the patrol arrived, an injured man was lying on the ground. This was the driver of the scooter. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical treatment.
According to bystanders, there was also a passanger on the back of the scooter but he was no longer at the scene when the patrol arrived. Later, the passenger himself arrived at the hospital for medical treatment. On the same day, driver of the scooter was flown out by helicopter to St. Maarten for further medical treatment. The scooter was taken to the police station for safekeeping. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
