Complaints procedure

The Dutch Caribbean Police Force attaches great importance to the trust of the society on Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius. With the above in mind, the police force has a complaints procedure that citizens and organizations can use. This arrangement means that anyone who has a complaint about both the handling of an ongoing case and the conduct of the police, can make a report, which will be reviewed by an external and independent party. These will advise the Chief of Police, who can then make a decision about the conduct. If the complainant is dissatisfied, he can appeal to the National Ombudsman. With this set of procedures and laws, which work well in accordance with the recent law enforcement report, the KPCN tries to be as transparent as possible and to learn from any mistakes. You can fill in the contact form at the bottom of the page via the contact tab. In the event of a complaint, please select "complaint" as the subject.
